Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

We teach live classroom course utilizing a multi-sensory approach. Our instructors have been teaching nursing courses for more than 17 years and have at least ten years of teaching experience.  While we do teach test-taking strategies, our primary focus is helping students understand key nursing facts and concepts.

We pride ourselves in being able to provide individual attention within a group setting. Most classes average 20 students. Except during peak graduation season those numbers may be higher.

We have classes every month. Most months we offer day and evening classes for your convenience. Class days and times vary. (See schedule for more info.) Click for schedule

Although you will love us to tell you that our passing rate is 100%, it is not! Many students ask if we can guarantee them that they will pass. Keep in mind you paid your nursing school thousands of dollars and they never did guarantee you.

We have helped students to pass that have graduated as many as 30 years ago and others that have failed NCLEX® as many as 9 times. We do guarantee that you will be given essential techniques, strategies, and a clearer understanding of many difficult nursing concepts. If you study and apply yourself, your chances of success are excellent! If necessary, you may repeat the entire course within 6 months of your original class date for only $300. ($300 effective December 2020)

For the day intensive courses and the evening courses you will pay either $550 (Early Registration) or $600 depending on when you register.

You can pay by wire transfer, money order, or check. If you have a Zelle account you can use that. Remember that to get the benefit of the lower early registration tuition, we must receive payment 10 business days prior to the first day of class (for off-site classes payment must be received within 14 or more business days prior to the first day of class).

Yes. We have helped foreign nursing students, coming from many countries, including Canada, China, The Dominican Republic, Guyana, Haiti, India, Korea, Nigeria, Ghana, Pakistan, The Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Africa and several countries in the West Indies. Our small class sizes allow foreign nurses to get the extra attention they may need in addition to assistance with cultural aspects of nursing in the United States.

We have had very good success with repeat test-takers. Often these students had previously worked with other test prep courses. Our approach helps students identify areas where they are weak so they study more efficiently. Our focus on helping students understand the content enables many repeat test takers to approach the NCLEX® with confidence for the first time.

Yes, we offer in-person and telephone private tutoring. We then provide those students a blue print of specific areas in need of remediation. The fee for private tutoring is $75 per hour. Each session is a minimum of 2 hours. (Discounted to $50-$75 per hour during Covid-19)

FOCUS

It is a priority of Americas Empowerment Institute Nursing Review course to make high quality, nursing review classes accessible to all students preparing to sit for their NCLEX-RN/LVN examination. The faculty is also committed to making sure students pass this examination upon completing the review session.

Our vision is that every student graduating from a nursing education program should pass the NCLEX-RN/LVN examination on one sitting. Whether it is your first time writing NCLEX-RN/LVN or not; you are here to PASS. GET READY!!!

⦁ Americas Empowerment Institute Nursing Review Course prepare our students with test taking skills and comprehensive Nursing content which can be successfully applied to any nursing exam. The review program is conducted in a classroom style environment and focuses on the components of the NCLEX-RN/LVN test plan as indicated below. Even though the test plan format changes every few years, Americas Empowerment Institute Nursing Prep faculty always adjust its program to reflect these changes.

⦁ The nursing content we teach is applicable to any exams; the primary difference is how each exam requires you to apply that knowledge. Each candidate will receive additional materials during the course that is specific to their NCLEX-RN/LVN. Our instructors will teach you how to apply the knowledge you gain to your specific exam. Americas Empowerment Institute Nursing Review faculty has been very successful in helping its students pass the NCLEX-RN/LVN examination.

⦁ Since the exams consist of multiple-choice questions at the cognitive levels of knowledge, comprehension, application and analysis, similar style questions are used during each session to prepare candidates to build on their experience in answering them. Four major categories of client needs organize the content of the NCLEX-RN/LVN Test Plan. Therefore the review will focus heavily on these major dimensions:

⦁ Psychosocial Integrity – sessions focus on concepts related to client care and mental health diseases.
⦁ Physiological Integrity – Sessions focus on respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological and endocrine disorders, nutrition and elimination or gastrointestinal and genitourinary disorders, mobility, sexual and sensory functioning.
⦁ Health Promotion and Maintenance – Sessions focus on the maternity client and her family.
⦁ Safe, Effective Care Environment – Sessions focus on growth and development and how to create a safe and effective care environment for the adult and child client.
⦁ Candidates receive course manual on the first day of class. The course manual outlines all of the topics covered during the course and includes the notes and helpful information.
