Course Overview

This course is a highly concentrated program designed to increase understanding of the terminology and technology of the power and electricity sectors and how to effectively evaluate strategy, costing and profitability while improving negotiation, planning and investment decisions. The primary focus is on bridging gaps in industry knowledge and providing practical and immediately applicable business skills to increase effectiveness and provide participants with a genuine business advantage.
Our goal is to promote an interactive and integrative professional development environment where participants discuss and address challenges and business issues faced by both non-technical and technical managers and senior managers as well as professional advisors to the sectors. We will do this by bringing forth various matters that impact day to day operations and future sustainability such as assessing the environmental impact of power generation and clean energy, technical and financial feasibility in the power sector, and how to efficiently summarize key data to achieve optimal results. Through utilization of presentations, group discussions and experiential exercises designed to engage leaders and deepen their learning, we will explore different ways of designing strategy and managing organizations that will focus resources on activities that create strong value and competitive advantages.

Course Objective
